Well, I finally did it!
Kamado Joe – Joetisserie !
After a long time of wishing, wanting, dreaming of a Joetisserie I finally pulled the trigger and purchased one for my Kamado Joe classic. What a simple yet exquisite piece of engineered BBQ equipment. I am sure the development process was long and well thought out. The end result is fantastic.
If you are looking for another dimension to an already amazing BBQ, the Joetisserie is for you.
In the box
Out of the box you get:
- The single piece, aluminium ring that forms the wedge and holds the motor.
- The stainless rotisserie rod.
- A pair of rotisserie spikes.
- The motor.
Set up
Setting it up, well there almost is none…
You simply place Joetisserie the ring on your Kamado and that’s about it. The design ensures that the ring is aligned within the ceramic, you only need to ensure the wedge is aligned with the opening angle of your lid. To get the rest working, thread your desired meat onto the rotisserie rod, with a spike set on each end. You will need to aim at getting it as balanced as possible (this ensures a nice smooth rotation, and protects the motor from damage.)
The addition of the Joetisserie expands the options available and takes any traditional roast meat another level. You can simply let the charcoal do its thing, or by adding some smoke wood, get that real smoky flavour. You can take your pork roast and achieve crackle to die for. Add an accessory or two and take some wings for a spin. Endless options.
