Pretty chuffed to make it into a list like that. Some awesome blogs on the list.

Just means that I have 99 others to learn from.

A totally unbiased review 🙂

A big congrats to my hubby for making it into a list of the Global Top 100 BBQ Websites & Blogs, coming in at No.75!

He works so damn hard on his website and blog by continually cooking us delicious things on our Kamado Joe, experimenting all the time with unique things as well as twists on old classics you just wouldn’t ever imagine being way more delicious on a Kamado (eg: lasagna, shepherds pie, those kinds of old time classic favourites).

Then there’s the incredible pork bellies, tomahawk steaks, roast lambs, roast chickens, roast porks, wood-fired pizzas, amazing roasted vegetables like sweet potatoes (stuffed with couscous, cranberries and chopped walnuts!), corn on the cobs, roasted capsicums, roasted potatoes, onions, you name it and he Kamado cooks it!

Let’s not forget the incredible desserts he also pulls off to perfection on the KJ like homemade apple pies, apricot pastries etc. Simply delicious!

Not content with just cooking THE most delicious things for his family on our KJ, he then spends hours upon hours blogging about what he’s made, how he did it, right through to every setting, temp, type of wood chips used, time cooked for, when to take it off, when to wrap, how long to rest for… every single step so that he can help out newcomers to the Kamado Joe experience.

This all began because, after buying our KJ in December 2017, Jase found there was basically no Aussie level KJ help and advice… it was all US-based, using Fahrenheit temps, US brands of spices, rubs, groceries, brands etc. He wanted to bring everything Kamado Joe to an Australian audience, using Aussie products, brands and terminology that’s so much easier to relate to and to go out and purchase.

I’m soooo proud of his efforts. Every blog post is entirely his own words and is a direct write-up of a cook-up he’s personally done for us and most of all, how he did it.

So for any of you who have signed up via his website to receive his weekly update email, know that the links to blog posts are 90% all his own blogs. The other random ones here and there are ones he includes to support fellow BBQ enthusiasts, particularly if it’s something he passionately agrees with or that he himself wants to give a go. In those posts, he always gives credit to the actual author. One great example of this is one he shares about the best way to make homemade hamburger patties. Jase found the blog post, tried one of the methods and WHOA – we will never go back to cooking homemade hamburger patties any other way ever again! They are to die for!

So to my hubby, JOE ON! You are doing awesome honey and I’m proud of you.

PS: not sure where their stats pull from about your followers and number of blog posts per month, because they don’t seem anywhere close to the right numbers – BUT, you are definitely worthy of your No.75 of the Top 100 placement!
